New Arrow Rests for 2024

New Arrow Rests for 2024

Though there aren't many, 2024's rest models are ultra-solid and are loaded with features that make tuning and achieving total shot stealth possible.

The rest is arguably the most critical bow-mounted accessory. Get a sub-par model or one loaded with technologies that don't perform as advertised, and arrow flight will be janky.

QAD UltraRest Integrate MX2

QAD UltraRest Integrate MX2

Quality Archery Designs took the rest world by storm by introducing the riser-mounted UltraRest Integrate MX. For 2024, this legendary crafter of top-end archery accessories brings you the MX2. Sporting all the features that made the MX an instant classic, the all-new MX2 sports a rugged and stealthy capture bar and bulletproof 7075 aluminum launcher that will take all the punishment you can dish out. The most significant innovation is the replaceable (offered in multiple color options) launcher arm dampers and Berger hole damper. Felt, other than a single piece to be added to the cradle of the launcher arm, is gone, and easily insertable and interchangeable rubber is in. The new dampening system looks great and allows archers to color-customize, but it further thwarts post-shot noise and vibration.

Hamskea Everest

Hamskea Everest

Taking several design cues from what is, arguably, Hamskea's top drop-away rest build, the Epsilon, the new-for-2024 Everest, is a win. Smaller and more streamlined, the Everest is lighter and more compact than the Epsilon and hits a pleasing price point. Via customer request, vertical lockdown was added to the cord system. Hamskea moved the clamps to the outside of the rest for more accessible, more immediate access. Another innovative Everest feature is the new direct drive micro-tunable blade angle adjustment. With this new feature, all that's required to change the angle of the launcher blade is the backing off, adjusting, and tightening of two easy-to-access screws. Zero Tolerance Technology eliminates lateral shaft movement, and the Everest is available in Everest w/Mathews Approved Bracket, Everest w/Riser Interface, and Everest w/Universal Bracket.

AAE Prophecy QD

A top-tier arrow rest that heeds the hunting and tournament rest call, the Prophecy QD is a full-capture fall-away with a proprietary trigger mechanism with a nano-second delay. This trigger allows the rest to stay up longer while maintaining maximum arrow clearance. The flexible but durable launcher arm is ultra-durable, and an internal mechanism prevents the launcher arm from dropping in the event of a letdown. Another hat-tipper of this rest is the Freakshow QD mount, which has dominated the podium at many tournaments worldwide. The Freakshow QD mount has 15 points of contact to ensure the rest returns to the same spot every time.

Ripcord RAK

Ripcord didn't stop with the Ratchet. Enter the new-for-2024 RAK arrow rest. A budget-friendly rest loaded with purposeful technologies, the RAK comes in Standard and IMS Micro mount versions, and like the Ratchet, activation cord takeup doesn't require a bow press. When loading the rest, an easy flick of the thumb rotates the launcher arm into position, and at the shot, the launcher arm falls quickly but won't bounce back and hinder arrow flight. The over-molded launcher arm eliminates the need for extra felt or moleskin, and easy-to-make windage and elevation adjustments are marked with laser-etched marks.

Primos Legacy Grows With Icon Call Series

Primos Game Calls is one of America's most iconic call makers, and according to Eric Hughes, that's the whole idea behind a brand new call lineup. In an ongoing introduction through a variety of game call styles, including deer calls, elk calls, predator calls, and of course, turkey calls. With that call-making DNA, Hughes spent some time telling OSG's Lynn Burkhead about the new Icon call line-up being unveiled by Will Primos and his Mississippi call making company and how it will take call making to the next level.

New Arrow Rests and Bow Sights From Trophy Ridge

As crowds filed into St. Louis' America Center for the 2024 ATA Show, Outdoor Sportsman Group's Lynn Burkhead got the inside scoop on new Trophy Ridge sights from Andrew Hughes. That includes the new Propel limb-driven arrow rests along with the Swift bow sight series that gives great versatility for archers wanting either a single-pin sight that is easy to adjust and stays on target, or those bowhunters who want the same features in a two or three-pin bow sight.
